Best Gallbladder Stones Surgeon in Hyderabad
Gall Bladder is situated in the upper right side of abdomen just below the liver and attached to it. Bile produced in the liver is stored in the gall bladder and released via the bile ducts into the intestine when a person is having a meal. Normally it empties 3 to 4 times a day so that there is no time for stone formation. When the gall bladder loses this function usually due to infections or dietary alterations, there is stasis of bile which leads to precipitation of salts leading to stone formation. If one identifies a stone in the gall bladder it usually means it has lost it’s function. Complications can be very devastating especially in Diabetic patients. Acute infection can lead to sepsis and loss of life also. A stone can migrate into the ducts and cause jaundice requiring additional procedures for their removal. It can also cause Acute Pancreatitis with it’s consequences

After more than 10000 gall bladder surgeries Robotics has transformed the dissection principles and establishing the Critical area of safety has been the norm. Firefly has helped in minimizing the injuries to the vital structures which are in close proximity.
Today it is like a daycare surgery and patients shouldn’t wait to get into complications, which at times can be life threatening.
Recovery from surgery is very quick especially with Robotic surgery due to the least amount of pain. There are no major dietary changes with this surgery as we are removing a non –functional organ.
Rarely we can find Cancer of the gall bladder with stones and this requires a Radical surgery with removal of Gall bladder, part of the liver and /or removal of the ductal tissue. Even polyps of the gall bladder have to be watched and treated accordingly
